Gold Plated Brass | Crescent Moon Hath Phool | Rajasthan-Inspired

The moon appears in Indian poetry more than any other celestial body. Not because it is the brightest. Because it is the most honest — it changes, it disappears, it returns. It was always the symbol of the woman who endures.

Maahru is a hath phool built entirely around that symbol.

The bracelet band is a linked chain of crescent moons — each one cast, each one connected, the whole piece a procession of crescents around the wrist. From the band, multiple snake chains drape across the back of the hand, ghungroo clusters hanging at intervals, catching sound with every movement. The finger rings mirror the bracelet — open crescent bands, adjustable, sitting on the finger like a private reminder of what the wrist is already saying.

This is not a piece that whispers. It cascades.

The Story

In Rajasthan’s folk jewelry tradition, the crescent moon was not borrowed from Islamic iconography or Hindu astronomy alone. It belonged to everyone — to the Rabari women who stitched it into their embroidery, to the Bhil craftsmen who cast it in silver, to the court jewelers who translated it into gold.

It meant the same thing across all of them: that which is incomplete is still beautiful. That which wanes will return.

Maahru carries that understanding on the back of the hand — the most visible part of a woman in motion. Every gesture announces it. Every movement makes it sound.

SURYAAT found this craft in the Rajasthani tradition. Brass base, gold plated, no stones. The moon needs no decoration.

Questions

how do I pick my size?

tell us. when you order, add a note with exactly what you’re dealing with, tight armpits, a longer torso, extra length needed, and we’ll tailor the piece to actually fit you, not the standard version of you. and if you’d rather skip the guesswork entirely, our membership starts with a quiz that captures all of this upfront, so every piece we send is already built around your real body.

can I exchange a size?

yes, we’ll exchange it for the right size, no hassle.

is the fabric good?

the fabric is real, chosen for how it feels against your skin, not just how it photographs.

does the color fade?

no, our dyes are made to hold, wash after wash.

do you offer cash on delivery?

yes, we do.
